WANDERBIRDS HIKING CLUB

The Wanderbirds are now on Meetup and bus hikes are back!

Our bus company was hit hard during COVID and no longer can provide a bus each week. Therefore, we offer a mix of hikes: bus hikes, carpool hikes, and trailhead hikes. Our hikes are normally on Sundays. We will also offer periodic Happy Hours on midweek evenings in 2023.

How do you sign up for a hike or Happy Hour? Join the Wanderbirds meetup via meetup.com. Then join the hike or happy hour of your choice. The fee is $30 for bus hikes, $5 for carpool and trailhead hikes. Happy Hour events are free.

Joining the meetup is free, but you are also invited to become a paid Wanderbirds member for only $20 per year. Benefits include eligibility to join our picnics (three planned in 2023) and to attend our annual Holiday Party. Paid members may also vote on our officer slate.

Wanderbirds are always looking for new hike leaders. If you are interested in becoming a hike leader, send an email to our trails director, Josh Silverman, at Director.Trails@wanderbirds.org. Each year we plan a hike leaders appreciation party.

The Wanderbirds Hiking Club is friendly and welcoming. We have a core group of established members and new members join us each week.

This is an exciting time for Wanderbirds, as we move to meetup. Join us to make friends, and for adventure and social activities!
